Storm alerts by email for your area
Free · UK · from the Met Office's own warnings
You're signed up. We will email you when the Met Office names a storm or issues an amber or red warning for your region.
Get one calm email when the Met Office names a storm, or issues an amber or red weather warning, for your part of the UK.
Each email links to the Met Office warning and gives a 15-minute check from official advice: charge your phone, write down 105 for power cuts, check flood warnings.
- Only amber and red warnings, and named storms. No yellow-warning emails.
- One email per warning, at most 4 a day, from the Met Office's public warnings feed, checked every 2 hours.
- Not an emergency service. For danger to life, follow the Met Office, the emergency services and the government's Emergency Alerts on your phone.
Opening soon. Storm alerts by email are not switched on yet. Until then, the Met Office warnings page and our storm tracker show every warning in force.
